So apparently Mulan's live action movie is going to be more like their original concept for the pre-Mulan, Chinese Princes idea that they had, "China Doll", which ended up going straight to video.
I'm not going to whine, I'm just going to ask... "How are you going to market this to China?"
Or...is this because in China this idea did well? Actually as I write this... maybe it still would sell in China. Or maybe with live action they figure there is no point?
To tell the truth, I watched Mulan because the kids liked it. I personally was not a fan. I liked the song. And btw Mulan was racist racist racist, when you think about how the Huns are portrayed. Ever think about that? That maybe Mongolians didn't particularly like that movie?
The good news is, if you don't like Disney's Live Action... here is the Shaw Brothers Live Action Mulan from the 60's. Watch it! It's good. I especially like the song in the second half that starts at 29:00
They use the theme in countless other movies and I didn't know it was from this opera.
