Gentrification and Health

I got this e-mail... actually I'm not even sure how.. but it says to circulate it so here it goes up on the blog..

"I was hoping you might forward this to your colleagues in Chinatown doing work around gentrification. If any of the organizers want to bring residents including youth that would be great! We are set up to deliver in English and Spanish but our system allows for up to 3 languages. We are very interested in hearing elder voices, as our discussions with elder Latinos indicate that even when folks are not physically displaced they are socially and culturally marginalized in their communities, which has implications for social isolation and mental health. The Dominican Development Center is leading this event as part of a TCRC grant.
I hope you can join us for what is sure to be a productive forum on gentrification and health. We are bringing community leaders and researchers of color together with municipal leadership from housing, community development, health and aging, along with residents to find solutions for addressing the negative health impacts of gentrification. Linda

Feel free to circulate this email broadly. There is a flyer attached.
